We are thrilled to welcome Erik to our team at LOX Container Technology! Erik joins us as CTO and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization. We sat down with Erik to learn more about his background, goals, and vision for his role at LOX.
Q: Welcome to the team, Erik! Can you tell us a little bit about your background and what inspired you to join LOX?
A: Thank you! I'm excited to be here. I have more than 10 years of experience in the maritime business and another 10 years in automotive, energy, and electronics industry and have worked with some great organizations worldwide over the years. What really attracted me to LOX was the innovative approach you take to develop, test and commission the products. The product portfolio is very interesting and continuously growing within both twistlocks, control systems and system integrations. There is a strong sense of mission and purpose that runs throughout the company culture which I both wanted to be part and influence. I knew right away that this was a place where I could make a real difference, contribute to and have a positive impact on the world.
Q: What are your goals and aspirations for your new role at LOX?
A: My main goal is to help LOX continue to grow and thrive by driving the R&D team and product development by forming and executing the strategic goals set out in the company road map. There are much to dig into and much to accomplish that will keep me and the team busy during the coming years which is very exciting. I also want to bring my own unique perspective and expertise to the team and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration. Ultimately, I hope to help LOX become a leader in the cargo securing market in all the intermodal sectors introducing products, systems and functions not seen before and make a lasting impact on our customers and the wider community.
Q: How do you think your skills and experience will contribute to the success of LOX?
A: I bring a strong background in both the tech-side such as electronics, systems and integration as well as market specific experience within marine and automotive, which I believe will be especially valuable in the development, expansion and roll-out of LOX product portfolio. I'm passionate about system integration and usability as well as customer experience and customer satisfaction and hope to use that passion to help drive innovation and creativity within the team.
Q: What are some fun or interesting facts about yourself that you'd like to share with our readers?
A: Well, I'm an avid explorer and fan of outdoor life and love spending time outdoors. I also love spending time on renovating cars and smaller boats as often as I can.
